Year's end; solstice has brought a new sun for a new cycle.
Leaving behind the anger and confusion for continued disappointment and sadness. Depression as societal affectation as coping mechanism.
Numbers fall. Ratings and listens are in: Sad. Failing. Lowest of the low. The greatest decline.
And here I am - we are - still swimming against the currents like a lost fish. Leaving traces of our presence and scars with each victory. We write signs for followers and those who want to chart the decline and how we got here. I join in attempting to maintain this ritual of leaving marks and signs of my meager presence, for as a single unit I (like anyone) am but a catalyst at best and a worker at worst. To be more is of no concern or of import - merely to be a body and to be able to do _________ is enough. Now I must move on to the next set of tasks - but let me leave another sign until you find me again.
Now give me my markers, I have glyphs to etch.
